The Makita HS0600 circular saw is a professional tool with a solid build. It allows deep cuts thanks also to the great available power. Cutting precision is ensured by a base plate made of a solid, generously thick aluminum plate.

The traditional power supply of the powerful motor ensures you won't run out of power during heavy deep cutting operations. To test its performance, we made multiple cuts at maximum depth on spruce beams over 4 meters long.

The cutting result is more than satisfactory — no excessive overheating, a clean and straight cut guided by the dedicated adjustable stop with a simple screw.

There is a bit of kickback when starting, given the mass of the 270mm blade. A cutting workhorse that, once running, needs to be handled carefully by holding it at the designated grip points.

The cutting rate is slow but relentless on deep cuts; the supplied blade is of excellent quality. It can be easily removed and replaced with the provided wrench.

The adjustments allow bevel cuts and easy regulation of the cutting depth.

The box also includes the dust extraction attachment, to be assembled. The power cord is long and sturdy.

Among the accessories not included in the box are the adjustment stop with a double fixing point and the ruler-style linear guides.
