To calculate the age of the cat in human years, it is very common to multiply the age of our animal by 7. However, this method does not give convincing results.
A domestic cat lives on average 15 years, but there are not rare cases of much longer-lived cats that can even exceed 20 years of life. If the 7-year rule were correct, it would mean that a 20-year-old cat would be the equivalent of a 140-year-old man. Does that seem possible?
For this reason, a more precise way has been established to calculate the age of a cat in human years.
