There are laboratory tests to determine the efficiency of an equipment
Depending on the type of equipment, consumption classes are set.
For example, a class A refrigerator consumes less than 300kW / year per year, but a class A washer consumes less than 247 kW / h per year.
So the classes are not homogeneous but depend on the type of device.
To make an example, we see what are the energy consumptions and energy classes associated with refrigerators and freezers.
Please note that A + and A ++ classes have only been introduced since July 2004 (values expressed in kW / h per year).
