Courtship technique

In the wild, when the female enters estrus, she gives off a particular smell that attracts males.

They will first enter the territory where the female is in heat without being noticed, then they will start furious fights to determine who is dominant.

The cat will attract suitors by meowing and stroking. But she will welcome with blows and scratches anyone who wants to approach her.

Only the male will be successful if he learns the approach technique unnoticed, taking advantage of the female's distracting moments and blocking himself whenever observed by her.

Once a male manages to catch up with the female without getting blown he will begin mating.
