Organs of reproduction

In the male dog and in the female dog there are elements in common as regards the reproductive systems: in both there are primary sexual organs, gonads and genital tracts, and primary regulatory centers consisting of the pituitary gland and the hypothalamus. / p>

The gonads are the site of the formation of gametes, germ cells capable of fertilizing (spermatozoa) or being fertilized (oocytes).

In addition, the gonads are involved in the creation of sex hormones.
